Who we are

Image Upscaler is operated by the studio named in the footer of every page. More detail is on the about page. For billing or service questions, email [email protected]. Using this site means accepting these terms.

What you may upload

Images you own, or images you have the right to process. Do not upload anything unlawful, and do not upload anything you are not permitted to copy. We do not review uploads, so this one is on you.

Do not attempt to use the service to attack it or anything else: no probing for vulnerabilities on systems you do not own, no using the upscaler as a proxy, and no deliberately submitting files designed to crash the decoder. Report a security problem instead and we will thank you for it.

Fair use of the free tier

The free tier is genuinely free and has real limits, stated on the pricing page. Automating the anonymous browser tool to get around those limits is not fair use, and we will rate limit or block it. If you need volume, the API exists and is priced flatly.

Billing

Plans are monthly and renew automatically until you cancel:

• Pro, $9 a month.

Upgrading takes effect immediately and you are charged the prorated difference. Downgrading takes effect immediately and you are credited the prorated difference against your next invoice. Cancelling stops the renewal and you keep the plan you paid for until the end of the period you have already paid for. There are no cancellation fees and no requirement to talk to anyone: the cancel button is in the billing portal, linked from your dashboard.

Usage allowances are per calendar month, UTC, and do not roll over.

Credits and packs

A paid plan includes a monthly credit allowance, and one-time credit packs can be bought as well, with no subscription. Credits are the unit of work: a 2x upscale costs one credit and a 4x upscale costs two, whether the credit comes from a plan or from a pack.

What happens to the credits you have not spent:

• Plan credits reset at the start of each calendar month, UTC, and do not roll over.
• Pack credits stay usable for a year from the date of purchase, then expire.

The packs on sale today:

• 20 credits for $4.99, valid for one year.
• 50 credits for $9.99, valid for one year.
• 150 credits for $24.99, valid for one year.

Uploading the same image at the same factor a second time costs nothing, so a repeat download never spends a second credit.

When an upscale fails

A failed upscale costs you nothing. If a credit has been taken and the work then cannot be completed, the credit is returned automatically, in the same request, to the plan allowance or the pack it came from. There is nothing to claim and nobody to ask. A failed attempt also gives back a free daily allowance, so an error does not use up your free upscales for the day.

Your files

You keep every right in the images you upload. We claim nothing. We store them only long enough to do the work and to let you download the result, then delete them on the schedule in the privacy policy.

Model licences

The upscaling models this service runs are open source and are used under their own licences. Those licences, including any attribution they require, along with the exact model versions and where each one was downloaded from, are recorded in worker-py/NOTICE beside the inference worker.

What is guaranteed

Honestly, not much, and anyone who tells you otherwise on a product at this price is not being straight with you. The service is provided as is. We do not promise it will be available at any particular moment, and we are not liable for losses arising from it being unavailable or from an image being upscaled in a way you did not want.

We also make no promise about how a particular upscale will look. Enlarging cannot bring back detail that was never in the original, and how a model treats one photo or drawing compared with another is not something anyone can predict in advance. Try it on a copy of your file before you rely on the result.

Keep your originals. Upscaling cannot be undone, and files here are deleted quickly by design.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend an account that is breaking these terms, and where it is not urgent we will tell you why first.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that materially affects you, the new version will be posted here before it takes effect, and the changelog will say that it changed. If anything here is unclear or looks wrong, write to the address on the about page.
